What is the invitation and who obtains it?
A business visa needs an invitation. According to the consulate, this can be an invitation issued by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the migration authority, or a written invitation from the host organisation. We obtain the invitation for you, and it is included in the price.
If your Russian partner has already sent you an invitation, tell us when you order. We check it and confirm the price before we start.
What must a written invitation state?
- the invited person's first and last name, date of birth, sex and nationality
- passport number
- travel dates, purpose of the trip and number of entries
- the inviter's full name and address, the signatory's name and position, and the tax identification number
Can I get a 2, 3 or 4-year business visa for Russia?
For longer business visas, please contact the office. The one-year multiple-entry visa is ordered through the office.
What else does a multiple-entry visa need?
For a multiple-entry visa we ask for a copy of an earlier Russian visa. The other documents are the same as for other visas: passport, visa photo, form and travel insurance. See the document checklist.
Can I work in Russia on a business visa?
A business visa is meant for meetings, negotiations, trade fairs and other travel related to business. Working for a Russian employer needs a different visa. Ask the office about it separately.
